This pair of drawings is inspired by the trees found in Florida, both Mangroves & Bald Cypress are unique & rare trees. They both grow submereged, and can handle tidal/seasonal fluctuations. They have developed different strategoeis for dealing with swamps & marshy & aquatic conditions.
