Inspired by Victorian floriography — the language of flowers — this exuberant bouquet gathers blooms that each once carried a coded message of their own: sunflowers for adoration, roses for love, alongside lilies, a dahlia, zinnias, asters, and marigolds, all spilling from a wood-grain vase. Look closer and the arrangement comes alive — a monarch butterfly, a bumblebee, a hawk moth, a spider at its web, and a procession of ants among the fallen petals.

Drawn left-handed in archival inkbrush on warm toned paper, signed and dated by the artist.
